Simon on YO! Sushi

I opened YO! Sushi in Poland Street, Soho on January 22nd 1997 with my life savings of £150,000. Within a week we had a queue down the block and we never looked back. Actually it was not that easy. Over the next five years in spite of some very successful restaurants we had some poor ones too and some close shaves. Robin Rowland who has been my partner from early on really did the hardest thing which was to take a small group of restaurants and build them in to the organisation of quality sites we have today and allowed me to go on and look at new projects.
